Bewitching and intense, Woody Mood features strong tones that echo the immensity of the giant sequoias. One approaches this fragrance the same way the mysterious heroine does the forest. A clearing, a hypnotic light that summons curiosity: bright notes of bergamot and ginger lead the way, then an accord of sequoia, black tea, incense, and Jatamansi (Himalayan spikenard) settles in, followed by the final enchanting notes of styrax, leather, and patchouli.

A woody invitation to an intense and mysterious promenade.

The picture was taken in 1973 but it may as well have been yesterday. Taken by photographer Roger Steffens, the quintessential embodiment of California's hippie culture, the picture depicts giant sequoias that are probably found in Mendocino where he spent a lot of time.

    Roger Steffens & The Family Acid

    Roger Steffens is a Brooklyn-born photographer, actor, author, editor (he has published several books on Bob Marley), DJ and lecturer who started taking pictures while in a psychological operations unit of the United States military in Vietnam.

    His images, mostly from the 1960s and ’70s, documenting his unorthodox bohemian life and experiences, have now been catalogued by his Los Angeles based family (daughter Kate, son Devon and wife Mary) under the name the Family Acid. In early 2015, The Family Acid released their first book.

    An artist to the core, Bertrand has always created his fragrances using various forms of media such as drawing, painting, and photography.


    He started his career in perfumery at Lautier Florasynth in Grasse, then Paris. In 2008, he became a freelance perfumer and branched out into artistic fragrances, composing innovative creations. He has been working with the Technicoflor fragrance company since 2014, which he chose for its ethical and environmental commitments.

Real woody feeling

I was pleasantly surprised by woody mood! The scent is really persistent and it develops in complex and
secondary aromas over time, it gets better as time passes, it feels like It has always been there and has quickly become my favourite perfume of all times.

Fantastic!

I’m new to perfumes and I can’t describe them well. Woody Mood is just what I needed for many years but didn’t know where to get it. I just use it every day and I can’t stop. It changes over time and I love both first and second “phases”. This is my second perfume from Olfactive, I also have Flashback In New York, witch is great too. But after ordering testers I realized that Woody Mood is my perfume. It is darker and deeper. Amazing! Thank you!

Parfum pour homme affirmé

Magnifique parfum boisé, il a du caractère, de la présence, c'est un parfum de bois avec une âme. La bergamote donne une touche de fraîcheur c'est la lumière qui traverse le bois.

Encore une fois le parfum représente bien la photo. Monsieur Bertrand Duchauffour est un maître dans son art.

J'ai enfin trouvé la marque qui me correspond le plus 😃
